Planned Giving
Those patrons devoted to classical music and to the Wheeling Symphony can help guarantee the future of both – by naming the WSO as a beneficiary of a bequest or other deferred gift. In addition, the WSO encourages donors to remember the Orchestra when assigning beneficiaries of charitable gift annuities, life insurance, charitable trusts, retained life estates and retirement accounts.
Donors who have made a provision in their estate plans for the WSO, and have advised the organization of such plans, are recognized by membership in the Wheeling Symphony Heritage Society. All realized deferred gifts of Heritage Society members are placed in the WSO Endowment, which will allow the orchestra to continue to make beautiful music for many years to come.
The WSO is honored to recognize the following individuals as members of the Wheeling Symphony Heritage Society:

Charitable Gift Annuities:
One of the most popular and affordable of the life income gift vehicles is the charitable gift annuity. Simply defined, a charitable gift annuity requires assets be irrevocably transferred to an annuity account in exchange for specified payments to selected beneficiaries for life. The remainder amount assigned would be gifted, in this case, to the Wheeling Symphony.
By establishing a charitable gift annuity, you can invest in the future of the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra while providing you with a guaranteed fixed income. Additional benefits include a charitable tax deduction and partially tax-free income. Following are the current rates for immediate, single-life charitable gift annuities. Two life and deffered rates are also available upon request. 50 4.8 55 5.0 60 5.2 65 5.5 70 5.8 75 6.4 80 7.2 85 8.1 90+ 9.5 *Age when gift is funded
