MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for general support of the WSO’s marketing efforts, with a focus on social media and email marketing. This position reports to the Marketing & Operations Director. This is a part-time position, up to 20 hours a week paid at $15/hour, beginning the week of September 1.
As a key member of the WSO team, the qualified candidate will have:

Responsibilities
- Social Media
- Create, schedule, and share content on the WSO’s Facebook and Instagram in line with the brand voice
- Create and implement long-term social media campaigns
- Respond to messages, comments, and tags on the WSO social media pages
- Work with WSO staff and musicians to coordinate behind-the-scenes filming and other content
- Assist marketing manager with maintaining digital ad campaigns
- Email
- Create and maintain consistent email marketing, including writing copy, creating images, and targeting key audiences
- Marketing Assistance
- Provide general assistance to the Marketing Director in all areas of marketing such as grassroots marketing, content creation, and concert promotion
- Assist in writing and distributing press releases
- Assist in maintaining the WSO website
- Attend WSO concerts and events as assigned by the Marketing & Communications Manager
- Brand Awareness
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager on strategies to build brand awareness throughout the Ohio Valley region
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience creating and maintaining a digital presence
- Demonstrated ability to create digital content, including short-form videos and social media images
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to adhere to stylistic guidelines, both written and visual
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Ability to handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of and/or passion for orchestral music a plus
- Available to work nights and weekends
